there are times when
i want to buck the trends
and go against the grain
watch you writhe and strain
from the struggle & pain
of me holding you close & oh so
tight
with all that is in me
with all of my might
to your detractors & nay sayers
i say fuck them, i'll fight
because with you in this moment
just feels so right
undiluted & raw my feelings
do show
for as us, one together
we shall grow
to learn & discover & surely come to know
my heart & desires upon you
will fall like snow
the sun & moon
the winds & the rain
can't do anything more
to mask the pain
of leaving & departing
and saying bye to
one another
because deep down inside
i know that we belong
together
